Johnsville Centrifuge & Science Museum

WARC January 2011 meeting presentation on the  Johnsville Centrifuge & Science Museum  located on the former National Air Development Center (NADC) site.  For those of us who are old enough to remember, or history buffs, this was the site of the largest human centrifuge ever built and where the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts trained to understand the effects of high G-forces on the human body.  The museums goal is to establish a world class educational facility that will inspire local students to pursue engineering and science careers to ensure America’s future technological leadership.
